Behind the curtain
A library. A voice.
A slightly haunted cabinet.
Wirepine Speaks is a carnival oracle inspired by Andrew’s TechTales: 181 articles about technology, work, family, and the strange business of being human.
Semantic search finds passages related to your question by meaning. A language model uses those passages to compose a short fortune, and ElevenLabs speaks it in Andrew’s cloned voice. This process is called retrieval-augmented generation, or RAG. Think of it as an open-book exam for AI.
The oracle is live. Typed questions are sent to Andrew’s ElevenLabs agent, using its configured voice, instructions, and knowledge base. This page does not use your microphone. Conversations may be stored according to the agent’s ElevenLabs settings. Use “End session” to disconnect; idle sessions close automatically.
When the agent names an article, the card links that title. Otherwise the page suggests related reading from the TechTales archive; that suggestion is not a verified citation of the passages the AI retrieved. AI fortunes are entertainment, and can be mistaken.
The prototype is live. Try Wirepine Speaks at wirepinelab.com/zoltar. The character, palette, and typographic brand treatment remain provisional while the cabinet continues to evolve.
